Our Principal earned a B.S. in Petroleum Marketing from The University of Tulsa, Tulsa, Oklahoma ("The Oil Capital of the World"); graduated from U.S. Naval Officer Candidate School, Newport, Rhode Island; the U.S. Navy Supply Corp School, Athens, Georgia; the U.S. Navy Petroleum Inspection School, San Diego, California; he earned a M.B.A. in International Business from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and he attends Executive Education Programs at the Harvard Business School.
Bill Gottfried began his professional career with the Inspector of Naval Material, Petroleum Products, Middle East Area, (INSMATPET), as a U.S. Navy Supply and Executive Officer in the Arabian/Persian Gulf.
While assigned to INSMATPET, based in Awali, Bahrain, Bill was responsible for petroleum inspection, refined product contracts, and tanker scheduling in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iran, and Yemen managing 200,000 b/d in product shipments. Bill worked in petroleum terminals in Bandar Mashur and Abadan, Iran; Shuaiba, Kuwait; Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia; Sitra, Bahrain; and Aden, Yemen; working with the National Iranian Oil Company, the Kuwait National Petroleum Company, ARAMCO, Caltex Petroleum Corp./Bahrain Petroleum Corp., and British Petroleum, respectively.
Following his Middle East assignment with the U.S. Navy, Bill worked with Mobil Oil Corporation in Mobil's Supply & Distribution Division scheduling product shipments via pipelines, barges, and tankers. While at Mobil, Bill was recruited by the Federal Energy Office in Washington, D.C. to manage refined product and crude oil allocation programs
Following Government service, Bill worked with Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Inc. on strategic planning assignments for international energy industry clients. He has been listed in the Financial Times of London's "Who's Who in World Oil and Gas".
We have been involved in joint ventures in North America, Europe, Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and in the Arabian/Persian Gulf. We understand the petroleum marketing business.
